Jay z unplugged9/1/2023 This track, called “People Talking” had been previously unreleased and is quite possibly one of Jay-Z’s greatest songs. One special thing about “Unplugged,” was after the last song “Jigga, Jigga” finished, a hidden studio track started to play. Select tracks (like “Izzo (H.O.V.A.),” “Ain’t No,” “Can I Get A,” and “ Jigga, Jigga,”) were vastly shortened, due to the original featured artists not participating in the MTV session. ![]() Blige, was altered so that part of her single “Family Affair” was included in the performance. The song “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” featuring Mary J. Wright’s intense vocal riffs (accentuated by Jay-Z) created a more soulful and powerful sound than the original delivered. For “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love),” the male vocalist, who appeared on the original track, was replaced by the female vocalist Jaguar Wright. There were, however, manifold changes in arrangements of the songs. The song lyrics on “Unplugged” remained largely unchanged (with the exception of explicit content being removed). With live instrumentation backing him (provided by The Roots), each song was precisely replicated (musically) to sound like the studio versions of the tracks. As with all of his releases, there were guest features by prominent and up and coming artists (Mary J. Each song featured either charted in Billboard’s Top 200 or was Grammy nominated. Carter,” “Reasonable Doubt,” and “The Dynasty-Roc La Familia.” This release serves as a greatest hits album, performed live. “Unplugged” contains songs from five of his albums: “The Blueprint,” “Vol.2 Hardknock Life,” “Vol 3. This album has practically none of that, with the exception of when Jay-Z specifically asks for crowd participation. Typically, live albums consist of intense crowd screaming and cheering in between and during songs (which tends to take away from song quality). “Unplugged” is quite different than most live albums. Due to high receptiveness of the performance, by viewers, in 2001 Jay-Z’s “Unplugged” album was released for commercial sale. The featured lyricist was none other than the legendary Jay-Z. In 2000, MTV hosted its 1 st (and only) unplugged session featuring a hip-hop lyricist. In 1989, MTV decided to capitalize on this trend by hosting “Unplugged” sessions, which featured popular artists of the time performing in intimate settings in front of small audiences. Since 1976, countless live albums have been released by a wide variety of artists. In 1976, when Peter Frampton released “Frampton Comes Alive,” (the first commercially successful live album), he demonstrated the substantial demand for that kind of album. ![]() Blige performance.A running debate amongst music aficionados is whether studio albums are better than live albums. The rapper responds by syncopating and scatting, launching slightly rejiggered choruses on “”Takeover”” and the tongue-twisting “”Jigga What, Jigga Who.”” Everything clicks, but there are several moments of pure delirium: “”Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love),”” which is enlivened by a spine-tingling gospel ad-lib from Philly newcomer Jaguar Wright, and “”Can’t Knock the Hustle/Family Affair,”” which turns on an incandescent Mary J. If The Blueprint and previous studio recordings are carefully scripted affairs built on pop song forms, Unplugged celebrates the possibilities of off-the-cuff interplay: The Roots sound like they’ve been backing Jay-Z for years - they push him to new heights just by working that minimal, relentlessly funky backbeat, supplying sparky little counterlines in the margins. ![]() Abandoning his usual sample-based production to mix it up with the fiery Roots rhythm section and a string quartet that provides more than just window dressing, he expands his familiar anthems with extemporaneous freestyle forays and smart instrumental interludes. Jay-Z gives himself an unexpected artistic makeover on the loose Unplugged, which was recorded live in November for an MTV special.

Loanstar park8/31/2023 My kids love having the track bugler come up to play Happy Birthday for my father in law! It’s a special treat! You need to place seating reservations in advance, and be sure to ask for a table next to the window! Also, the price of the buffet is not included with the ticket price, so check on that before your visit. ![]() Each Father’s Day they offer a terrific buffet, and we are usually having so much fun we rarely place any bets! There is an upscale casual dress code, with collars for men. We usually do this when on Family Fun Days, so we can come in and cool off afterwards! You do need to make reservations in advance.įor special occasions, we like Silks Dining Room, such as my father-in-laws birthday, which usually coincides with Father’s Day. You can still place wagers here, but it’s a hassle to do up and down if you want to get a close look at the horses. There are tables near the Paddock Area with shade.īox Seats are fantastic if you have a group! They are inside on the 2nd floor, with glorious air conditioning! You must purchase either 4, 6 or 10. The tables near the track do not have any shade. It doesn’t give you a “seat”, but there are tables near the racing and in the back. General Admission is the least expensive way to get into Lone Star Park. The website doesn’t help much, but I can! When it comes to purchasing tickets, there are several places to sit, depending on why you are there. They also have win-place-show bets ($6 the horse can come in either 1st, 2nd or 3rd), and Trifectas, where you pick the first 3 horses in order for a big payout! We bet on our favorite horse to win, but once you learn the lingo, you can also bet to place (2nd place) or show (3rd place). When we wager, we take enough cash to make a minimum $2 wager on each race. No one under 21 is allowed to place a wager, but we enjoy rooting for our favorites! I will occasionally let me kids pick a horse and wager on it, and my daughter, who chooses her picks off the horse and jockey’s colors, won $114! We stay here until about 5 minutes before the race, then go place a wager, and I like to stand near the finish line! Once the race is over, we return to our shade spot! Bring a blanket to put out under the trees, lawn chairs and a cooler filled with food and drinks (no alcohol or glass). We spend most of our time here, and there are plenty of shade trees. This takes place near the saddling paddock, by the big fountain. We aren’t gamblers, we don’t even buy lottery tickets, but when we do wager, I’m very systematic about how we do it! Before each race, (there are 20 minutes between races) I want to see the horses as they parade out. ![]() Purchase a racing form just after you enter the race, for about $4.00.Ĭoolers and food are allowed. Today we are able to source other ear candles which perform the same functions and are equally as beneficial to our health as these ancient Hopi Ear Candles. Totally unlike regular wax candles, a Hopi Ear Candle is a cotton tube, saturated with beeswax, honey and therapeutic oils, that is inserted into the ear to extract impurities and reduce pressure in the sinuses and head. Feral druid pvp 6.2.38/31/2023 ![]() Feral Druids in particular excel at this role because their DPS in Cat Form is high enough to poke a large hole in an attacker's health pool before being forced to swap to Dire Bear Form for more survivability and crowd control. The ability for the Druid to stealth allows them to warn their team of incoming enemy players in order to seek reinforcements. Rather than feeling like a "budget Rogue", the Feral spec really forges a unique identity this expansion that is centered around its powerful bleeds Rake and Rip, which have both been significantly buffed relative to TBC and become a priority to maintain with high uptime on your opponents.īattleground Viability for Feral Druid DPS in Wrath of the Lich Kingįeral Druids are very effective at spinning flags in Arathi Basin because they can stick to a flag while stealthed, allowing them to get the jump on players attempting to back cap when the base appears to be unguarded. Furthermore, Ferals are no longer limited to pairing only with Rogues in 2v2 teams, and can now be slotted into a variety of 2v2 and 3v3 team compositions, making them a more versatile choice of teammate in WotLK. The sheer quantity of impactful damage, crowd control, healing, and utility buttons across the three shapeshift forms make the spec quite unfriendly to beginner players, but also make Feral PvP extremely rewarding to master with practice.Īrena Viability for Feral Druid DPS in Wrath of the Lich KingĬompared to TBC, where Feral Druids were rarely seen at high Arena ratings, Ferals will be a lot more common in competitive WotLK Arenas. When played at a high level, Feral Druids are a top tier threat in WotLK PvP, but the spec is very difficult to play well enough to realize its full potential (just like in PvE). PvP Viability for Feral Druid DPS in Wrath of the Lich King But the most iconic new Feral PvP talent is Predatory Strikes, which causes finishing moves like Savage Roar and Rip to proc Predator's Swiftness, allowing the Feral Druid to fire off an instant cast Cyclone to completely shut down a chosen target. The raw burst damage output of Feral Druids also gets a big boost in WotLK via the introduction of Berserk, which halves the Energy cost of all Cat Form abilities. ![]() WotLK also adds the new direct healing spell Nourish, which synergizes with the spec's existing healing over time (HoT) toolkit of Lifebloom, Rejuvenation, and Regrowth to help keep teammates alive. The new Infected Wounds talent allows Ferals to kite opposing melee DPS with ease. The Maim ability now functions as a full stun like Kidney Shot, and also serves as a reliable spell interrupt. WotLK provides Feral Druids with a number of new tools that enable them to fill this "hybrid DPS" niche in PvP. In this context, a good Feral Druid will utilize all of their shapeshift forms to provide the appropriate utility at any given time: Cat Form for stealth openers and burst, Dire Bear Form for interrupts and stuns, and caster form for roots and heals. ![]() As a result, Feral Druids perform best when paired with teammates who provide a complimentary crowd control toolkit to keep enemies locked down and susceptible to the Feral's very high burst damage for long enough to secure a kill.Ĭompared to a "pure" DPS class like a Rogue, Feral Druids deal less damage but provide unique utility in the form of roots, slows, Cyclone, and group healing. As a heavily DPS leaning hybrid spec, Feral Druids are unable to fully outheal incoming damage, so they must instead kill enemy players quickly during burst windows before inevitably taking fatal damage themselves. This role is quite different from that of Druid PvP builds that spec heavily into the Restoration tree, where the Druid instead focuses on long term sustainability to outlast the opposing team. In a PvP setting, a Feral Druid plays the role of a burst damage dealer, taking advantage of opportunistic windows for unleashing concentrated single target damage on an enemy player. ![]() PvP Role for Feral Druid DPS in Wrath of the Lich King To take a look at recommended PvP Gear, check out our Best in Slot Pages. This guide will provide a list of recommended talent builds, arena compositions, and cover viability in battlegrounds and arenas for your class and role. 2018 dodge journey crossover8/31/2023 ![]() What We Like: When Chrysler was developing the Journey, it borrowed some designers from its minivan program who managed to imbue the crossover with clever storage solutions. Last year’s Crossroad Plus trim has been dropped. Also new for 2018, Dodge has expanded the availability of the popular Blacktop appearance package to all Journey models including the base SE it brings a black grille, black front-fascia trim, black-painted aluminum wheels, black roof rails, and black mirrors. All 2018 Journey models now come standard with a third-row seat-the five-seat version has been dropped-which technically makes it a seven-passenger vehicle, so long as the aft occupants aren’t fully grown. ![]() For 2017, the V-6–powered GT model replaced the ambitiously named R/T and featured a stiffer suspension, red-stitched leather seats, 19-inch aluminum wheels, and a premium sound system. What’s New: The Journey is like an oldies radio station that you listen to because you know all the words to the songs. For this review, we sampled an AWD Crossroad V-6 model. All-wheel-drive models and the front-drive GT come with a 283-hp 3.6-liter V-6 bolted to a six-speed automatic. A 173-hp 2.4-liter inline-four with a four-speed automatic transmission (there’s a sign of how old it is-only four ratios!) is standard on all front-drive Journeys except the GT. The Journey comes in base SE, mainstream SXT, stylish Crossroad, and well-equipped GT trims. And it offers some interesting storage solutions not often found in competitors’ vehicles. ![]() So it drives more like a slightly taller wagon or hatchback than a hulking SUV handling is competent but certainly not inspiring. It’s nearly eight inches shorter and almost 1000 pounds lighter than Dodge’s other offering in this space, the Durango. The mid-size crossover is an ideal size for many, not too big or too small. It packs a lot of standard features for not a lot of money. The Journey’s long suit isn’t refinement but bang for the buck. Now, under Fiat Chrysler’s stewardship, it’s the second-best-selling Dodge, behind only the soon-to-be-discontinued Grand Caravan minivan. Built on the bones of the Dodge Avenger mid-size sedan and developed in the waning days of DaimlerChrysler, the Dodge Journey survived the cuts during the Cerberus era prior to Chrysler’s 2009 bankruptcy. Overview: With a constant flow of new or completely revised crossovers pouring into the market on a regular basis, it’s hard to imagine one that’s now entering its ninth model year without any significant changes.

Dark souls 2 petrify cure8/31/2023 ![]() Hug the right wall, and follow it into the darkness (put your torch out if you have one lit). Drop down once more, and you’ll be in front of a cave. Walk to the right, and look down over the edge to see a ledge below you. Drop down, and you’ll be in front of a locked door. You may need to light a torch, but you should be able to see a platform below you (or at least see the blood all over it from where other people have fallen off). Once you’ve done this (ignore the mist door for now), head back up the path to where the worms were and look down into the darkness. Continue further down, and make sure to smash all of the statues and kill all of the enemies hiding in puddles. If you’re incredibly lucky, one of them will drop Orma’s Greatshield, which you should immediately equip. You should easily defeat him with the help of your summons. Summon Ray, and head forwards to trigger a possible double Dark Spirit invasion. Check one of the corpses here for the “Dead Again” hex. With the worms dead, you’ll be able to summon Bashful Ray as well. Summon Schmidt, and let him kill the worms for you. Continue up the path, and smash all of the statues here before dropping down and turning to the left.Īhead of you is a summon sign for Lone Hunter Schmidt and two large worms. Leave this cave, head straight to the edge of the cliff, and stand to the right of the first statues you destroyed at the cliff’s edge. The chest inside has the “Great Magic Weapon” spell.
